Picking the right subject is crucial
I want to create a publication about a subject that is interesting that I think should be illustrated. As inspiration I look to Colors and see the subject of there past issues.
The ones I like (most recent to old): going to market, apocalypse, happiness, shit, transport, superheros, collections, the sea, teenagers, victims, back to earth, amazon, Aid/Hiv, freedom of speech, drugs, slums, fat, death, heaven, ecology, eat the street, race, immigration.
Basically I enjoy pretty much all of the subjects that COLORS has covered. I have decided to look through a dictionary for inspiration.
